Lesson Plan - Functional Skills English - Reading Level 2 - Proof-reading and Correcting Mistakes

Do you find it difficult to encourage students to check and correct their work?  Often a little time taken to recognize errors and correct them will improve a document enormously. The ability to proof-read well can certainly make the difference between a pass and a fail in the exam, particularly at Level 2.

This lesson plan aims to
  1. Identify the main word classes.
  2. Recognize errors in text.
  3. Correct some errors

Many thanks to Jane Holloway of Lewisham and Southwark College for providing Functional Skills Forum with this wonderful lesson plan.
